Let’s talk about creating products that sell themselves. Now there is one thing that you need to have, and that’s what I’m going to share with you in this episode of “Explode Your Expert Business Show.” Now, if you can see the video, actually if you listen to the podcast, thank you for listening, if you see the video, I’m in the beautiful Waldorf Hotel where my wife is doing an event at the moment.
So I decided to take some time here and give you a Facebook Live from this gorgeous, absolutely wonderful location. So let’s talk about products. What is the one thing that you need to create products that sell themselves?
Well that one thing is speed. Now, some of you might be thinking, “What? “That’s not exactly what I was expecting to hear.” And that’s absolutely fine. Now let me tell you why it’s speed. Now remember, perfection is the killer of dreams. And it’s better done than perfect. These are two mantras that I repeat myself consistently.
Perfection is the killer of dreams, and done is better than perfect. Now when you create a new product or a new service, you don’t want to wait too long in the creative process. And why is that? Because you can spend so much time to create the thing that you think is the perfect one for your business, for your clients, for your existing clients, for your future clients, whatever.
And now you spend six months, eight months, 10 months building it up as the perfect thing, and no one buys it. All this time has been wasted. While if you spend a couple weeks to create and plan the product, to create, plan it, and getting it out there, and then you spend all the rest of the time selling it and then delivering it, what happens is that some people will buy, and because of the feedback what you will receive, whether they will buy or they will not buy, there’s always feedback, and then you can make your product better. You can make your offer better. You can make your service better. And that’s what a lot of people miss.
They spend so much time thinking about creating the perfect product, the perfect service, and let me tell you it will never be perfect. The moment you think you have the perfect service or the perfect product is the moment your business will die. Because things change. And if you don’t update your existing products, and you’re not approaching everything on the mindset of everything is evolving, whether it is your business, your product or your services, then you will, or never get it out there because you will always playing catch up.
The moment you think you are done, something else comes out, that you think now you need to add, that product or the service, and now another five months are passing. But also on the other hand, if you spend all that time, or you have a great product already, then people will stop buying it because there are other products or services that will come out that are going to be better and more relevant that yours. So this is what I want you to do. And this is gonna be the end of this very short episode of “Explode Your Expert Business Show.”
This is what I want you to do. I want you to take that idea that you have, that idea that you have inside, that product, that course, that resource that you want to put out there, outline it, just create an outline and then get out there and start pre-selling it. Very crazy price for a few people.
But then what happens, if no one buys it immediately, if no one buys it as a crazy price, it will tell you immediately that that’s not the right offer. And if someone will buy it, then now, number one, it forces you to create the dumb thing, if you are the kind of person who procrastinates in creating this kind of stuff. But also, it will make you because you will build that product or that services with them, with them in mind. And they will tell you what they need and how to make it better.
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Your customer have all the answers, and this is why the number one thing you need is speed of implementation. Get that idea that you have in here, get it out there, and then share it, share it, share it with the world.
