If you feel there are never enough hours during the day to get done what you want to do.
If you keep doing things in your business that you hate.
If you keep saying to yourself, “I cannot keep up with this!”
Then you need to do something different.
In this short message, I am going to show you how you can attract great team members so you can get more time back.
The longer you run your business, the more your business will grow and the more opportunities you will attract.
The bottom line… Things are not going to get easier.
And if you are struggling now to get everything done, then it a sign you need a TEAM.
I know it might not be easy to let go of the day to day running of some of your business. You will have to reinvent your role in your company. Almost like having another identity to the one you used to have.
However, you know, that without help, your business will not be able to grow. If you are stuck now, you will be stuck in the future. Unless you bring people on board to alleviate your burden.
At the beginning of the year we had 4 people in our team and now we have 13 members. It was an incredible growth considering the industry we are in.
I have learnt many valuable lessons in scalability, leadership, and management.
I grew as an entrepreneur.
I grew as a human being.
We grew as a company.
And I took almost 2 entire months off.
Having a team is powerful.
It allows you to grow faster and become a more complete and mature business.
You can’t keep doing things by yourself. You will work yourself to sickness.
How do you find the right people?
1) Find people that are different from you:
The worst mistake you can make is to hire people that are exactly like you. You need a team that can complement your personality, skills, and background.
2) Delegate outcomes, not tasks:
You don’t want to micromanage every single thing your team does. Make sure that every person has a clear outcome and let them work out with your help, the best way to achieve that outcome.
3) Hire energy givers, not energy sappers:
It does not matter how good someone is if you don’t like working with them. You want to find someone good, that believes in what you do and that creates harmony in the group. Otherwise, your entire business will all fall apart and you will resent hiring people.
These are only 3 of my biggest learning on growing your team.
Remember: Don’t wait until you have all the money to grow. You can start hiring someone for few hours a month. Start now. Don’t delay.
