Deal with Naysayers in Business

Deal with Naysayers in Business

Dealing with friends and family that are particularly close to you, that are naysayers or not supporting you when you need it the most, can be extremely stressful, so let’s talk about it.

When dealing with naysayers there will always be moments where you might be a bit more fragile, especially when your business is going through a tough time or things are not exactly how you want them to be. Those are the moments when you are most vulnerable and the negative comments can feel even more amplified and be extremely damaging.

The truth is – not everyone is going to understand your journey as an entrepreneur.

Most of the time, people that are the closest to us and want the best for us can be the most critical of our decisions. Tough love, as some would say. Or maybe, they are just trying to protect us. While they probably mean well, it’s important for you to feel confident in your decisions and understand that business ebbs and flows – no matter how much someone is trying to convince you otherwise.

So what can you do to protect yourself a little, especially when you’re feeling more vulnerable?

Set boundaries with the people that are the closest to you.

Honestly, they don’t need to know everything. If you’re sharing something with them, and they’re always questioning you, without being productive or supportive, then you don’t need their advice on this. If they’re not supportive of your vision or where you want to go because they don’t understand or don’t have a successful experience of what you want to achieve, then it’s okay to not get into the nitty-gritty details of what you’re doing.

There are better support systems for business owners, where the advice is productive to your growth and vision.

A business community or surrounding yourself with a few biz-buddies might be a better option. Of course, you can keep a great relationship with your friends and family without having to talk to them about your business.

By carefully choosing who offers you support and who’s in your corner, you will also be able to eventually receive advice that’s relevant and helpful.

So trust me when I say, you don’t need to entertain or fight the naysayers – it’s okay to be selective about who you talk to about your business dreams, goals, visions, and the things you’re going through.

And hey – if you’re looking for a supportive community for your work, GTeX might be the best place for you.

How to Create an Environment that Will Make You Successful with the Least Amount of Effort

How to Create an Environment that Will Make You Successful with the Least Amount of Effort

Have you ever wondered what’s the key to growth and success?

I was having a session with one of our members, and we started talking about how to really grow a business without having to put out all kinds of money. It doesn’t have anything to do with mindset, it doesn’t have anything to do with sales and marketing or lead generation, but it has everything to do with your environment, both internal and external.

Think about it for a moment. We all know people have different personalities. Some are more introverted or extroverted, some people get their energy by being on their own and others that get energy by being with others in social situations.

What if we were to take this into consideration when it comes to running and growing a business?

Growing your business means being at your best. Being your most productive, creative and energetic self, and it starts with knowing the environment where you truly thrive… Only then, can you really push the boundaries, grow, and do what’s necessary to change your results.

So if you’re an introvert or an extrovert, you will find that you will experience the world in a very different way AND you will experience your peak performance in a very different way. For example, if you are introverted, your biggest battle is within yourself, so your internal environment is the most important one to take care of so that you can be more productive in the external world. However, if you’re an extrovert like me, our external environment influences our internal environment heavily.

The best environment is one in which you can be your best self.

Being such an extrovert, I can be so responsive to external deadlines that if I’m not in a stimulating environment, I’m not going to be consistent. When I started looking at how I can structure what’s around me to be more consistent, things started to change.

Now you might think, well, I’m not an extroverted person, I’m introverted – and that’s okay! Think of the moments where you are the most productive, happiest, and have the most energy to get things done. What’s happening inside yourself, and what do you give to yourself in order to be able to be effective in the external world?

Start to think about what allows you to be at your best, who is around you, how that affects you and what really gets you moving. Once you’re clear on this, you’ll be able to match these insights to your business strategy, as well as your daily planning.

So take your time and reflect – when are you at your best and how can you leverage that in your business to thrive and grow?

The Challenges Of A Caregiver Running A Business

The Challenges Of A Caregiver Running A Business

The challenges of a caregiver running a business

Here at GTEX we believe that we have incredible value in all members of the community we serve and this month we are shining a spotlight on those who are caregivers. This is by no means an easy task and many who are in this position believe that “you just get on with it” and they are nothing special.

What we are here to acknowledge today is that you are incredibly special and every single one of you has a unique and inspiring story to tell!

You are also not alone! In fact;

Alison Rose, CEO of NatWest Group and Author of the Rose Review published in

The Rose Review Progress Report 2022 a study of individuals across the UK on 520 individuals, of which 427 were entrepreneurs and 69% of which were female. An equivalent of 6-10 females to 0-5 males and at the time were 62% less likely to have their business recover from Covid-19.

According to Forbes, the US is reporting heading toward a “severe shortage of caregivers”, in both a paid and unpaid capacity. So there is more demand on unpaid and informal caregivers to make ends meet whilst managing their other commitments. Techstars have published the numerical value of the unpaid family caregiving market to be $470 billion.

What we are interested to hear are the insights of those within the community who run a business and who also care for family, friends, neighbours and anybody else who is dependent on them to manage their day to day physical, intellectual, emotional, social, financial and any other needs.

Now it’s time to hear from our GTeX members on running a business with chronic illness.

Feel free to join the conversation and add your thoughts or experiences in the comments.

How do you find being a caregiver impact your life?

Life as a caregiver is very demanding of my time and energy. It is also an emotional roller coaster and impromptu events may demand my attention at any time.

What is the most important lesson you have learned from the experience of juggling running a business and caring for someone else?

Taking time to focus on my own care, relieving my own stress and making sure I am mentally and emotionally as balanced as possible is the most important consideration in order for me to give my best to everyone else.

What advice would you give to anyone who is a caregiver and running a business?

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to meet self imposed deadlines or your own expectations. This will set you up to fail.

How do you find being a caregiver impact your life?

My mum has been chronically ill all my life and my dad died when I was 13. As a result, I had to do things like shopping, cooking, housework etc and looking after younger siblings from a very young age. She has had periods of remission but as her health declined she has needed more and more support. The impact is one of loss and gains. There is the loss of independence in terms of doing what you want when you want. The gains is that you have the opportunity to show love. However, being a caregiver can be very lonely and exhausting.

What is the most important lesson you have learned from the experience of juggling running a business and caring for someone else?

You have to balance flexibility with setting clear boundaries. It is easy to get lost in another persons needs that you lose sight of your own goal.

What advice would you give to anyone who is a caregiver and running a business?

YOU need support. It is vital to invest in a network of support for you to remain healthy. You cannot help anyone if you are depleted.

How do you find being a caregiver impact your life?

It has changed everything to be honest. It’s been a deep transformation. Essentially, all my previous plans were turned upside down, and as a family, we’ve had to make significant adjustments to our lives and routines. Originally, we had intended to spend a few years in the UK and then return to my home country, where all my family and friends live. However, when my youngest son was born with a very rare syndrome, we realized that the best place for us was right here. We found the comprehensive support he and we needed, something we couldn’t have provided in any other country. (my husband’s country or mine would mean both of us had to work long hours to pay for the medical care our son needs) The early years of his life were spent largely in hospitals. We had to learn loads of complex medical jargon, visit multiple doctors for various concerns, and at times, advocate fiercely for his needs. Deep down, we knew as parents what was best for him, and we refused to accept that nothing could be done.

It was an exhausting journey, particularly because we also had to care for our two other young children. My husband did his part, but as the primary breadwinner, a significant portion of the caregiving responsibilities and logistics fell on me.  As a result, my career had to adapt. Instead of seeking a traditional 9-5 job, I had to be resourceful and honest with myself, acknowledging that a conventional job simply wasn’t feasible. This shift opened up an entrepreneurial path for me. While things have settled down somewhat, my number one priority has always been my children, especially the one who requires round-the-clock attention. I’m grateful for the school he attends and the support we receive from the system, as it has afforded me some free hours to build a couple of businesses and not have to give up on my own career aspirations. And all the people who has been worked with me knows my situation up front so they know that I am committed with them but that a level of flexibility is required.

What is the most important lesson you have learned from the experience of juggling running a business and caring for someone else?

I’ve learned up several valuable lessons along the way. Initially, I thought I was cut out for working under someone else, but my journey has taught me how to create businesses that I can manage while taking care of my son and family. Be independent is great, although requires a lot of discipline, perseverance and consistency. Organization has become my best friend, and maintaining focus is crucial to prevent burnout and overwhelm. Some days just don’t go as planned, and you have to be quick to adapt and make decisions on the fly.

I’ve realized that delegation is essential, not only in work-related matters but also in other aspects of life. Depending on others helps the overall machinery run more efficiently. Setting clear priorities and having an action plan provides structure while allowing room for flexibility when needed. It’s also important to remember that asking for help is not a sign of weakness. We’re not superheroes with endless energy; we all need time to recharge and unwind, or we won’t be able to help anyone effectively.

Concentrating on the most important parts that drive your business or career will give you better results than trying to do too much and achieving very little. That path can be exhausting and demotivating, leaving you feeling like you haven’t achieved much in the end.

What advice would you give to anyone who is a caregiver and running a business?

As mentioned earlier, the primary emphasis is on making time for yourself to reset and recharge. It’s essential to carve out moments for self-care, nurturing your own wellbeing and happiness, and finding rest. Additionally, thorough research is key. Explore the available resources and support systems that can help ease your load. External assistance is accessible, whether it’s for your business or for the care of your loved ones.

Once you’ve gathered all the necessary resources, you can start organizing things to make your business run more smoothly. Being mindful of how you use your time is crucial for maximizing your productivity and ensuring you have enough personal time. Use time management techniques like blocking off specific time slots and make sure to set clear limits. Sometimes, concentrating on three hours of focused work can accomplish more than spreading tasks over ten hours. Additionally, requesting that others respect your time will provide you with the space needed to be more productive, highlighting the significance of careful planning.

A good night’s sleep is also vital for allowing your body and mind to revitalize. It’s common to have a lot on your mind, so keeping a small notebook to write down your thoughts can help you gain perspective on what really requires attention and action. Many times, you’ll find tasks that can be discarded or delegated. Focus your energy on essential tasks, and categorize the rest into three categories: Delay, Delegate, or Discard.

Lastly, I’d like to emphasize that I wouldn’t change a thing—well, not entirely true. I wish it were easier to navigate the system to obtain the support you truly need. However, once you’ve established your support network, the journey becomes smoother. It’s a challenging path to balance caregiving and entrepreneurship, but it’s achievable. It might take longer than if you had more free time without caregiving responsibilities, but in the end, you’re crafting the life you desire, with the freedom to manage your time and achieve your goals.

If you are tired of the constant grind, trying to figure out how to attract clients and build a consistent income, you’re not alone. Running a business at any stage can feel chaotic and overwhelming, but with the right plan, focused learning and implementation, you can take your business where you have always wanted it.

If you’re ready to build something meaningful, you care about your clients and are willing to do the work it takes to authentically build your business for the long run, then The GTeX Method is right for you. This method was created to help business owners succeed, regardless if they are just starting out, or have been in the game for years.

Throughout this article, I’ll introduce you to The GTeX Method, a powerful framework I developed through my years of experience as a business coach and speaker. The GTeX Method has helped countless experts transform their expertise into thriving businesses, creating stable income streams and expanding their influence.

I’ll dive deep into each component of the method, explain how to apply them, and share case studies to validate the model. By the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of how the GTeX Method can work for you and provide you with the roadmap to success.

If you prefer, you can also watch the video below where I break down a summarised version of The GTeX Method.

A. The Importance of a Sustainable Business Model

Before diving into the GTeX Method, it’s essential to understand the importance of a sustainable business model.

A sustainable business model ensures that your business can weather the ups and downs of the market and consistently provide you with a stable income. It allows you to have peace of mind, knowing your business can handle fluctuation while also steadily growing or moving in the direction that aligns with your needs.

Many experts fail to establish a solid business model, which causes them to struggle with attracting clients, closing deals, and maintaining a consistent cash flow. This lack of stability can lead to burnout and an inability to fully leverage their expertise to create lasting success. A sustainable business model allows you to focus on what you do best – helping clients and sharing your knowledge – while ensuring your financial well-being.

II. The GTeX Method Overview

The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

The phases of a business vary through different stages, from starting out as a side hustle to running a business full time. Each stage represents a different level of expertise, influence, and success, and it’s important to know where you land if you are looking to move up in your business. Wherever you are, know there is always room for growth.

A. The Phases of a Business: Hobby, Expert, Influencer, Authority

The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

Think about where you might be currently in your business, what your goals are, and how they are aligning with these stages:

  1. Hobby: At this phase, you have a passion for your field and some expertise, but you haven’t yet turned it into a full-fledged business. The primary focus is on building your knowledge and honing your skills to take your work from a hobby to the next level. You may feel a lot of excitement and confusion at the same time – that’s totally normal! This is the early stage where you are slowly making progress.

  1. Expert: As an expert, you’ve turned your passion into a business and have a solid client base. You have some momentum, you’re making money, but you may be struggling with inconsistency, like a financial roller coaster. You may have a ton of work one month, and then it’s quiet the next three. The goal now is to establish yourself as a leading figure in your industry, scale your business and convert.

  1. Influencer: At the influencer stage, you’ve built a strong reputation in your field and have a considerable following. There are new opportunities, you’re easily getting clients, but there may be some pressure starting to build. Your network is changing, you are evolving, and you might feel pressure to maintain a certain image. Your focus now is to leverage your influence and expand your brand to reach new audiences, while maintaining what you have established.

  1. Authority: As an authority, you are a recognized leader in your industry, and your business is thriving. Now you want to stay relevant, and maintain good public opinion. Your primary goal is to maintain your influence and continue to grow your impact.

The GTex Method is designed to guide you through each of these stages with more detail. You will learn the tools and strategies you need to build a successful and sustainable business at each stage, and how all of them flow into one another. Each stage is an important foundation for the next. Working through each stage helps you align with your long term goals and know the next steps to get there.

Within each of these stages, there are areas you want to be focusing on, which is what brings us to the next four segments.

B. Four stages: Clarity, Conversion, Expansion, Influence

The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

So how do we know where to focus at each stage?

Within the phases of a business: Hobby, Expert, Influencer, and Authority we will find four key stages: Clarity, Conversion, Expansion, and Influence – these are crucial aspects of how we are spending our time within each stage of business.  Knowing where to focus within each stage will give you the steps needed for what to do next.

These four stages will clearly show where to spend your time. You may be in an authority phase but still lacking conversion or clarity, because clarity, conversion, expansion and influence are relevant at EVERY phase in your business. So, think about the areas that may need a little more attention at the phase you find yourself.

As we go through the stages, think about your journey and if there is a particular section that may be lacking.

Let’s dive into the details of what these four stages hold:

  1. Clarity: This stage is all about understanding your unique value, identifying your target audience, and defining your core message. By gaining clarity on these elements, you’ll be better equipped to position yourself as an expert and attract clients who resonate with your message. Often clarity is established at the hobby stage of building a business, it’s a key foundation needed before you move forward and up.

  1. Conversion: In the conversion stage, the focus is on turning prospects into clients. This involves creating high-converting offers, building relationships through webinars and events, and nurturing potential clients with email marketing and social media. Conversion should be a focus on the expert level of your business. It helps create stability within your business, so you can continue to grow.

  1. Expansion: The expansion stage is about scaling your business and increasing your impact. This includes building strategic partnerships, elevating your brand through associations with industry leaders, and leveraging your growing network to access new opportunities. Once you consider yourself at the influencer level, expansion should be your focus, along with maintaining clarity and conversion.

  1. Influence: The final stage is all about leveraging your influence to expand your brand and maintain relevance. This involves building social proof through association, speaking engagements, awards, and media appearances. As your influence grows, so does your ability to attract high-level clients and partnerships. At the authority level of your business, influence should be a priority. You want to maintain your legacy and amplify your business, all while still having the three other foundational aspects of clarity, conversion, and expansion.

Let’s get a little deeper into each of these stages so that you have a very clear idea of what you need to do at each phase of your business.

III. Assessing Your Business Stage

The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

A. Hobby Stage: Gaining Clarity and Establishing a Foundation

At the Hobby Stage, you’re still exploring your passion and determining the viability of turning it into a business. There’s excitement, yet some confusion, so it’s crucial to gain clarity on your target audience, niche, and unique selling proposition (USP) to establish a solid foundation for your business.

During this stage, you should focus on:

  1. Defining your target audience: Identify your ideal clients and understand their needs, desires, and pain points.
  2. Developing your niche and expertise: Determine your area of specialization and the unique value you can provide to your audience.
  3. Crafting your USP: Develop a compelling message that differentiates you from competitors and appeals to your target audience.

B. Expert Stage: Implementing the Conversion Process

Once you’ve established a strong foundation, it’s time to focus on the conversion process, transforming prospects into clients.

At the Expert Stage, prioritize:

  1. Forming strategic partnerships: Collaborate with complementary businesses to grow your audience and increase visibility.
  2. Utilizing webinar marketing: Create engaging webinars to showcase your expertise, connect with your audience, and promote your offerings.
  3. Developing introductory offers: Craft irresistible offers that entice potential clients to experience your services.
  4. Nurturing relationships: Use email and social media to stay connected with prospects and existing clients, building trust and credibility.

C. Influencer Stage: Expanding Your Network and Reach

At the Influencer Stage, you’ve already built a successful business and now it’s time to aim, expand your network, and reach. There’s new opportunities arising, you’re easily getting clients, but you want to make sure you are keeping up with the momentum and your new image. This can be a lot of pressure, and you want it to feel stable.

It’s time to focus on:

  1. Growing your client base: Leverage your existing relationships, strategic partnerships, and marketing efforts to attract new clients consistently.
  2. Implementing a system for client acquisition: Develop a scalable and repeatable process to attract and convert prospects into clients.
  3. Pursuing additional strategic partnerships: Identify potential collaborators who can help you further expand your network and reach new audiences.

D. Authority Stage: Leveraging Your Influence for Greater Impact

As an Authority, you’re a recognized leader in your industry, and your primary goal is to leverage your influence to create a more significant impact. You want to stay relevant, value public opinion and recognize your self-worth.

To do this, concentrate on:

  1. Enhancing your social proof: Showcase your achievements, testimonials, and endorsements to strengthen your credibility and reputation.
  2. Implementing the ASAP model: Use Association, Speaking, Awards, and Publications to elevate your personal brand and solidify your status as an industry leader.
  3. Cultivating influential connections: Network with industry leaders and collaborate with peers to expand your influence, reach, and impact.

By understanding your business stage and focusing on the corresponding strategies, you can continue to grow and achieve long-term success, regardless of where you’re at.

IV. Stage 1: Clarity

Clarity - The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

A. Identifying Your Target Audience

One of the first steps you want to be REALLY clear and identify is your target audience. Determine the specific group of people who will benefit from your products or services. By understanding your target audience, you can tailor your messaging and marketing strategies to attract and engage with these individuals.

To find your target audience, think about the following:

  1. Demographics: Age, gender, location, income, and education are some of the demographic factors that may influence your target audience.
  2. Psychographics: Consider the interests, values, attitudes, and lifestyles of your potential clients.
  3. Pain Points: Identify the challenges, problems, or frustrations that your target audience is facing and how your products or services can provide solutions.

B. Defining Your Niche and Expertise

The expert biz canvas The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

Once you have a clear understanding of your target audience, you want to define your niche and area of expertise. This involves identifying the specific area within your industry where your skills, knowledge, and passion align with your business. You want to stand out and establish yourself as an expert here, and be clear about how you can help your audience achieve their goals.

To define your niche and expertise, consider the following:

  1. Passion: What topics or aspects of your industry are you most passionate about?
  2. Knowledge: In which areas do you have the most expertise or experience?
  3. Market Demand: Is there a demand for your particular expertise, and can you serve an unmet need in the market?

C. Establishing Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)

A unique selling proposition (USP) contains the factors which make your products or services different from competitors. It’s the reason why potential clients should choose you over other businesses in your industry. Your USP should be clear, concise, and compelling. It should showcase the value you provide and why you’re the best choice for your target audience.

To establish your USP, think about the following:

  1. Benefits: What are the specific benefits that your products or services provide to your clients?
  2. Differentiators: What sets you apart from your competitors, and how do you deliver superior value? You can use a signature methodology here to help you stand out.
  3. Client Testimonials: Gather feedback from satisfied clients to support and validate your USP.

By gaining clarity on your target audience, niche, expertise, and USP, you lay a strong foundation for your business, positioning yourself for success in the competitive marketplace.

V. Stage 2: Conversion

Conversion - The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

As you think about conversion, I want you to consider this … people pay first with their time, then with their trust, then with their money and finally with their words. If you want to convert, ask yourself, how can I get people to spend more time with me?

There can be a lot of uncertainty and distrust from a cold audience, so you want to focus on building connections and trust in your business.  We will go through some of the ways in which you can do this and really get people to convert.

A. Strategic Partnerships for Audience Growth

Strategic partnerships are essential for growing your audience and expanding your reach in the market. By collaborating with like-minded businesses or influencers, you not only tap into new networks, generate leads, and create additional value for your clients, but also build trust fast. Your partner’s audience already trusts them, so they will innately trust you if you’re recommended. Trust is a key element in conversion, and building it should be a part of your plan.

To establish successful strategic partnerships, consider the following:

  1. Alignment: Seek partners whose values, goals, and target audience align with yours.
  2. Complementary Services: Find partners who offer complementary products or services that can enhance the experience for your shared clients.
  3. Collaboration Opportunities: Identify ways to collaborate on joint projects, events, or content that will benefit both parties and their audiences.

B. Webinar Marketing and Its Benefits

Webinar marketing is a great and powerful tool for connecting with your target audience. You can showcase your expertise and drive conversions, but also begin to build those relationships. The more time your audience spends with you, the more they trust you, and the more they will buy from you.  By hosting live or pre-recorded webinars, you can engage with potential clients, answer their questions, and establish yourself as an authority in your niche.

Benefits of webinar marketing include:

  1. Lead Generation: Webinars allow you to capture leads through registration forms and follow-up sequences.
  2. Authority Building: Hosting webinars demonstrates your expertise and positions you as a leader in your industry.
  3. Sales Opportunities: You can use webinars to present your introductory offers and convert interested attendees into paying clients.

Webinars are one of my favorite ways to create conversions, and I have found them to be extremely effective. They are also a great way to launch a beginning offer and build your email list.

C. Crafting Introductory Offers to Attract Clients

Introductory offers can attract new clients and encourage them to try your products or services. These offers should provide value, address the needs of your target audience, and showcase the benefits of working with you.

To craft compelling introductory offers, consider:

  1. Client Needs: Identify the most pressing needs of your target audience and create offers that address those needs.
  2. Value Proposition: Clearly communicate the value of your offer and how it sets you apart from your competitors.
  3. Pricing Strategy: Consider offering special pricing or added value for a limited time to incentivize potential clients to take action.

D. Nurturing Relationships Through Email and Social Media

Building relationships with your target audience is how you create long-term, sustainable success in your business. By nurturing these relationships through email marketing and social media, you can stay connected, build trust, and turn leads into loyal clients.

You can nurture these relationships by having:

  1. Consistent Communication: Share valuable content and updates regularly to keep your audience engaged and informed.
  2. Personalization: Tailor your messaging to address the specific needs, interests, and preferences of your audience.
  3. Two-Way Conversations: Encourage feedback and engage in conversations with your audience to show that you value their input and are committed to their success.

When you focus on conversion strategies, you can grow your audience, attract new clients, and establish long-lasting relationships that will benefit your business for years to come.

VI. Stage 3: Expansion

Expansion - The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

One big question everyone has is, how do I shorten the time it takes for a cold potential clients to make a purchase? As we’ve talked about before, business is a game of trust, and building trust takes time OR it takes connections.

It’s important to establish connections if you want to expand your business because it will save you time and build your business’ trust much faster. Let’s break down some ways you can expand through building more connections.

A. Importance of Expanding Your Client Base

By continuously acquiring new clients and nurturing existing ones, you can expand your stream of revenue, increase your market share, and establish your brand as a leader in your industry.

So, how do we grow your client base?

  1. Diversify Your Revenue Streams: With more clients, you can offer additional products and services, ensuring financial stability and mitigating risk.
  2. Strengthen Your Brand Presence: A larger client base enhances your brand visibility and reputation, attracting even more clients through referrals and word-of-mouth.
  3. Leverage Economies of Scale: As your client base grows, you can take advantage of economies of scale, reducing costs and increasing profitability.

B. Building a System for Consistent Client Acquisition

To expand your client base consistently, you will need to develop a system that attracts, engages, and converts potential clients into paying customers. This system should include a combination of marketing strategies, sales processes, and relationship-building tactics to ensure ongoing growth.

Here are some ways you can incorporate these elements into your client acquisition system:

  1. Targeted Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute marketing campaigns tailored to your target audience, utilizing channels such as social media, email, and content marketing.
  2. Sales Funnels: Create sales funnels that guide potential clients through the buying process, from initial interest to purchase decision.
  3. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System: Utilize a CRM system to track leads, manage communication, and optimize your sales process for maximum conversion.

C. Leveraging Strategic Partnerships for Growth

As I mentioned earlier, strategic partnerships are very important in helping convert clients, but they also play a huge part in expanding your client base and accelerating growth.

Through strategic partnerships you can access new audiences, increase brand visibility, and create additional value for your clients, along with so many other perks.

Let’s look at how you can leverage strategic partnerships for expansion:

  1. Joint Ventures: Collaborate on joint ventures such as co-hosted webinars, events, or product launches, capitalizing on the combined strengths and resources of both partners.
  2. Cross-Promotions: Engage in cross-promotional activities, such as sharing each other’s content, offering exclusive deals to each other’s audiences, or endorsing each other’s products or services.
  3. Referral Partnerships: Establish referral partnerships, where both parties agree to refer clients to one another, expanding your client base and generating new business opportunities.

If you want to ensure long-term success and sustainability in your business, focusing on expansion strategies will make a huge difference.

VII. Stage 4: Influence

Influence - The GTeX Method - GTeX - Growing Together Exponentially

A. The Role of Social Proof in Decision-Making

Social proof is a powerful psychological aspect of decision-making for humans. It gives us validation and leads us to feelings of safety. In the context of business, social proof can significantly impact a potential client’s decision-making process. Positive testimonials, case studies, and endorsements from influential figures help to build trust and credibility within your business.

If you want to establish yourself as an influential figure in your niche, you can leverage social proof by:

  1. Attracting More Clients: When potential clients see that others trust and value your expertise, they’re more likely to do the same.
  2. Enhancing Your Brand Reputation: A strong, influential reputation can elevate your brand, making it more appealing to clients, partners, and investors.
  3. Increasing Conversion Rates: Social proof can help potential clients overcome objections and skepticism, leading to higher conversion rates and sales.

B. The ASAP Model: Association, Speaking, Awards, Publications

What is the ASAP model, and why is it important?

The ASAP model is an excellent approach to building and enhancing your personal brand.  It’s an acronym for these four key components:

  1. Association: By aligning yourself with reputable organizations, influential figures, and industry experts, you will increase your credibility and visibility.
  2. Speaking: Deliver keynote speeches, participate in panel discussions, or host webinars to share your expertise and demonstrate thought leadership.
  3. Awards: Pursue industry awards and accolades, showcasing your achievements and bolstering your reputation as a leader in your field.
  4. Publications: Contribute to industry publications, write guest posts, or author a book to share your knowledge, establish authority, and reach a wider audience.

The ASAP model is important because it can help you create a powerful personal brand and position yourself as an influential figure in your industry, which ultimately attracts more clients and grows your business.

C. Building a Strong Personal Brand Through Influential Connections

If you want to cultivate influential connections, you want to build a strong personal brand. You want to make sure you have done all the steps necessary to be clear about who you are and what you stand for as a business.

Then, you will be able to network with industry leaders, collaborate with peers, and engage with your target audience, so you can enhance your credibility, expand your reach, and elevate your brand.

If you’re ready to build influential connections, try following these strategies:

  1. Attend Industry Events: Participate in conferences, workshops, and networking events to meet like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and form valuable connections.
  2. Utilize Social Media: Leverage platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram to connect with industry influencers, share your expertise, and engage with your target audience.
  3. Join Industry Groups and Associations: Become an active member of industry-specific groups, forums, and associations to stay informed, expand your network, and contribute to discussions.

By focusing on building influence and establishing a strong personal brand, you can attract more clients, command higher fees, and ultimately, create more sustainability in your business.

The 4 Tools & Software I Use to Run Multiple 6 Figure Coaching Businesses

The 4 Tools & Software I Use to Run Multiple 6 Figure Coaching Businesses

Running a coaching business, and learning how to navigate the tech and all the options that there are, can be a stressful nightmare. If you don’t know where to start and it feels like every day there is another tool that is promoted to be the number one tool that will do everything for you and solve all your problems, then keep reading because we’re going to go over the 4 major tools I use in my business that make a huge difference. After years of trial and error I can say with confidence that these are the most useful tools I’ve found for my business.

SO, maybe you’re not techie, you don’t like trying out new software and apps and you feel overwhelmed by it all…it’s okay, we will break it down for you.

We’re going to look at tools great for sales, marketing, client delivery, and project management, so if any of these subjects are a focus, keep reading.

And by the way, I will have affiliate links for all these tools. So if you want to try them, there will be links at the end of each section.

  • Groove

This is a great platform for sales, marketing and is wonderful for building funnels. Let’s break down what it does.  So Groove has a full landing page business system. You can have a group funnel, which is the implementation of the different landing pages. You also have a groove cell which is your checkout and how people pay you. Furthermore, you can get people to buy an offer straight away, just with one click with the option of bump offers.

It has Groove Mail, so you can create automated sequences. It runs your affiliate programs, so you can have other people promoting you, while you manage and track all their payments through the platform.

Groove has a membership area where you can have all your programs and services. You can also upload videos, create automated webinars and even have an ecommerce store, with an SEO optimized blog.

I’m running all my businesses using this software, just with different domain names and pages. I have at least four of my businesses running with one account of this software, so the savings are huge. And what’s even better about this is that their free account is epic. So you can have a free account where you create your landing pages, funnels, checkout, emails, have affiliates and membership. Now of course if you upgrade to the paid version you have more features and flexibility. But if you’re just starting out, the free version is perfect.

  • Client Folio

This tool is something I use for managing clients. Often this is overlooked as an important process, very few people in the coaching and speaking industry invest in the tools for client management. However, when you’re growing it’s going to be very easy, if you’re using Google Drive and Google Documents, to lose track of the progress of clients and it can be hard to prove to the client all the work that you have done with them. A high use client folio is very affordable and with just one single account you can manage clients.

Every session I have with a client, whether it’s a single session or a group session, I create an account for them. I record all my notes there, send them the action points and everything is recorded. I can have them complete accountability questions, and get them to complete stats. Generally we track our clients’ results every month, providing them with the stats of their business, so everyone is accountable. No other system would do it. And that’s why I really love client folio.

I would recommend checking it out if you are serious about the results, the delivery and the experience that your clients have with you. It will make them feel special having their own account in their own private members area, where they can see all the recordings and notes of all the sessions. It’s going to be a great way to get them to renew, so they can keep access to all the work that you have done together. Also, the founder and the creator, Michael Russo, is incredible. I really like the customer service, they are very receptive to ideas or some features you want to add.

  • Content Studio

There are many social media tools and what I love about Content Studio compared to other social media tools, and why I think it’s worth the investment is, it has many different features that a lot of others don’t have.

You can discover trending content at the moment, have a planner and schedule for your content, and it integrates natively with Canva. So you can design your social media post within Content Studio and access your Canva account without logging in. It’s a little thing, but it makes a big difference. It saves a lot of time, if you’re using templates and so on.

Furthermore, it will also give you reports and you can manage your social inboxes. So ALL the private messages from different platforms that you get, you can manage from Content Studio. They will all converge in one of the best tools that I’ve used.

You can also create automated campaigns. Let’s say that you are creating and scheduling content today and want this content to be rescheduled in six months, every six months, you can add content in the future. And this is just touching the surface. It’s very easy to use with a simple interface, so check it out.

  • Start Infinity

Now we’re moving from social media to project management.

Imagine your business is growing and you can’t manage as you have been anymore. Your task list is from a piece of paper, or a Google Sheet, which is great as a starting point, but now that the business is growing, you need to do something different and need a project management tool.

I’ve tried so many tools for this, and I fell in love with Start Infinity.

You can create project management boards literally for everything. You have templates for marketing, campaigns, and you can see all your activities, and sales pipeline with all the potential leads. You can even have personal boards, for your health and fitness as well as employees if you have members, or events that you’re running for product development, along with deadlines.

I’m using it for everything.

This is how I managed my house move, holiday planning and family tasks, along with my business. I can’t recommend it enough.

So I know I said I only had 4 tools for you, but I have one bonus one I want to share because it’s what I use to record my TikTok videos and do automated captions. It’s called Captions Dot AI.

Captions Dot AI is incredible. It’s very easy to use, simple and accurate in terms of captions. It’s one of my favorite apps that I use on my phone, but it’s not a desktop software, so you can only use it on your phone, but for social media videos it’s so helpful.

So, this is my spill of tools. I’m someone that loves experimenting, and I’ve tried more than 300 different software products since I started my business 10 years ago. You can say it’s a waste of time, but it’s something that I enjoy doing, and it helped me understand what’s good and helpful and what’s not. That’s why I recommended Groove, Content Studio, Client Folio, Start Infinity, and Captions dot AI.

In addition to these great tools, I also have an additional resource. If you want to create webinars, I have a resource called the Webinar Conversion Kit. It’s only 30 dollars. It’s a webinar template that helped me make a few millions. It’s my gift to you to help you with your webinar journey. If you want to check it out, follow the link below.

How to Price Your Coaching Program – An Unconventional Approach

How to Price Your Coaching Program – An Unconventional Approach

Are you wondering how much you should price your coaching services?

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been asked this question, I would be a billionaire.

So I’m going to break it down for you and help you find the right pricing for your offers.

We’re going to go through 3 different questions you should be asking yourself to determine the appropriate price you want for your work.

Helping our clients with their price is one of the biggest things that we do at GTex. And to be honest, there’s no one way only to find pricing. In the coaching and speaking industry, pricing is very personal. So it’s important to first understand the psychology of pricing and your internal dialogue to find the number you feel comfortable charging.

Being a coach or speaker is not like having a warehouse where you have a fixed cost for a fixed material. Everything is your time. Everything that you sell is either time that you spent in the past or time that you’re spending now.

If you are creating an online program or course, remember the time you spent in the past learning everything that you needed to, and the time it took to make it, and put the system together to sell.

Now the question is how much value do you put on your time?

And this is where the penny drops – are you not charging enough or more, because you’re afraid you’re not good enough?

You might have some hidden fears. You might be thinking they’re not going to buy, they’re going to expect way more than I can deliver, no one is going to say yes… There are all these little gremlins in our mind that are stopping us from actually charging what we really want to charge. There are also some people that charge too much, and then they get disappointed because no one buys, and they don’t have the right audience.

Pricing is more of a psychological question than a technical question.

So let’s explore the psychology and the feelings, which are interconnected.

You will have your mind saying one thing, and your body feeling something else, and every time there is a number, your body will react. Maybe the reaction is that you are undercharging, and you are feeling resentful because you know that you should charge more. On the other hand, maybe you feel that you’re overcharging.

This is actually a reflection of your skills and expertise. So we need to understand our emotions and our thoughts around these matters.

The first question that I love to ask to find the perfect price is: What is the highest price you feel comfortable charging?

Pricing is an evolving concept. So when you are thinking about your pricing, first understand that it is a personal evolution.

So how do we define the first starting point?

Ask yourself, what is the highest price that you feel comfortable charging, right now, that still feels like a great deal for the people that are going to buy it?

If you feel that your price is a great deal for your clients and is the highest number you’ll be happy charging, right now, then that should be your price.

Everyone will have a different starting point. Take this first step and then you can build your confidence.

In time, it’s going to be natural for you to say it’s time to increase. And when that time comes, you ask yourself the same question – What’s the highest price I feel comfortable to charge for the service I’m providing that still is a great deal?

After 10 years of sales, I’ve been able to separate my identity from the price that I’m charging, which is my next point.

Pricing becomes a matter of identity. That’s why it’s so difficult.

Your price can feel like a sense of your self-worth. It took time to separate myself from the price I’m charging and my sense of self-worth. It was not easy, but now I can charge a price and know it’s not a reflection of who I am as a person, but a reflection of my ability, skills, and credibility.

The last tip that I want to give you is not to internalize pricing.

Always remind yourself that your price is not a reflection of you as a human being. It’s going to be easier to see the price more from the client’s point of view than from your point of view.

Remember, you’re the one selling, so you need to be confident and comfortable saying that number.

The value that we attach to money is so personal. So we need to be in touch with our self-worth, and capable of making the decision for our clients.

If you’re able to separate and actually see from the point of view of the clients, then what’s in it for them? What value are they getting? What is going to be their return in time? Happiness, joy, health, vitality, money, what’s going to be their return?

See it from their point of view and create a price that is fair for both. Everyone is happy at the end.

SO, If you’re stuck on pricing, ask yourself:

What’s the highest amount that you feel comfortable to charge that is still like a great deal for the potential client?

You can reevaluate this question every three to four months, and then you will be able to grow and increase your pricing.

I cannot wait to hear what your thoughts are. Shoot my team and I an email if you want to chat or are in need of some feedback around your pricing.
